Label Information / Background

XLAX Records was founded on 10/10/20 out of necessity to release both myself and the label's first release, 'Four Ways Of Nonconsensual Multi-Faceted Orificial Effluence Injection'. Being heavily invested in grindcore, goregrind and other derivatives of extreme, chaotic music, I wanted to capture the aesthetics of such brash, Neanderthalic sounds cleanly - I figured establishing a label would grant me the creative freedom desired, and I was correct. Though my tastes have shifted much since the label's inception, I still strive to encapsulate the attitude of such belligerent sonic output through this platform all whilst packaging it in an organized, intelligible fashion. There's nothing less appealing than haphazard post-production on artistically compelling material.

While I do possess a passion for organization and order in a field characterized by incoherence and indecipherability, I also founded this label as a means to disseminate my own music. Balancing managerial and production elements is very occupying and fulfilling as a hobby, and never fails to keep me motivated to create and reach whoever meanders far enough to encounter this underbelly of metal, noise, etc. This brings me to the subject of horizonal expansion, as I alluded to earlier - As my tastes change, I plan to make room for accompaniment on this once very topical outlet. This includes but is not limited to Trap, Doom, Industrial, Shoegaze, etc. - all separate but not alien stylistic distinctions. Prepare to observe an increase in *cough* diversity *cough* on my pages, but do not let this detract from the foundational inspirations which birthed this endeavor - the helpings of filthy, grotesque and - of course - offensive material will continue to pour from here like a sewer drain for years to come. Between the relentless onslaught of human waste however will be nuggets of ether, catch those as they come!

XLAX Records is owned and operated solely by myself, although it would never have left the ground if it weren't for a handful of colleagues who continue to supply and mold this apparatus into whatever amalgamation of art it embodies; these people are Chazz Orinnidinni, Daelen Guyer, Trey Hughes and David Thornton. Keep your eyes peeled for credits attested to these co-conspirators.
